BBC’s “The Power of Art” Explores Painter Joseph Mallard William Turner: Full Episode

It’s always a day worth celebrating when something thought to be insignificant turns out to be VERY real and very significant. I refer to the news today out of New York that three paintings by renown British master J.M.W. Turner which were earlier classified as fakes have turned out to be real and authentic after all.

The three re-discovered paintings are “Off Margate,” “Margate Jetty” and “The Beacon Light.” All had been originally donated by Welsh collectors Gwendoline and Margaret Davies, who built one of the most important collections of Impressionist and 20th-century art in Britain:
